It makes me wonder if there is a way to set up a "hyperspace" zone, maybe above the 1200m/1500m mark, so ships could conceivably fly anywhere. It doesn't make sense that I can TP all over the Star Wars or Star Trek universe but can't fly a ship from Tattoine to Hoth or some such thing. If I can fly over 71 regions on the mainland, wouldn't make even more sense to make provision for people to fly through space to private islands? Especially the sci-fi sims? Instead of "TP in, rezz my ship...take off...pretend I am just entering orbit"...I should be able to fly my ship to the sim and enter the sim space at 1200m or so and fly down to an orbiting space station, spaceport etc...

Yes. It took me about an hour and 15 mins, flying an Aurochs A , heavy hauler, space-particle ramjet powered freighter. I were successful on my fifth try, after one total disaster (ship exploded and strewn all across a frozen, empty landscape- 30 prim ship- I picked up all the pieces ) and several times having the ship auto-returned. Once I was with a friend and we RP'd "winter survival" with a camp-fire... On the fifth try I was successful, crossing 71 regions. My "Spice Smugglers Mercantile Association" will be providing the navigational notes. I found the flight so exhilarating I plan to buy and rent land in Klaw to set up a space station at 700m to mine spice, provide low-cost ships, navigational aids etc.
