Here's a solution for deeding land to a group. Have the group owners make you an owner, then have them all (current owners, all but you) unjoin the group. When you're certain you're the only group owner, invite the former owners back in a new role you've created, for example, "admin". Make sure prior to inviting them back that the settings for the new role don't permit them to sell the land, gain from the sale or allow them to create or change a role that would compromise your group ownership or land ownership position in any way. As you check off the boxes, a warning will come up if you're about to blow it, so pay attention to what you're doing. Later, if any problems come up and you no longer wish for the group to use your land, you can always go back and "reclaim" the land from the group.
